| Uzbekistan is located at the southwest corner of the Russian continent, just north of Afghanistan. The climate is mostly desert, with some grassland to the east. It is a large supplier of cotton to Russia. For a taste of Russian history visit the Uzbek State Museum of Art; containing many pre-Russian artifacts. | ||||
